Carer Information

Are you or is someone you know providing care for loved one?

You may not see yourself as one, but if you are supporting a relative or friend of any age who fits one or more of the descriptions below, then you are a carer.

They:

  • are elderly and frail
  • are physically disabled
  • have a learning disability
  • have mental health issues
  • have a history of substance misuse
  • have a serious health condition

Please let the practice team know if you are a Carer.

The Carer Champion at the practice is Nurse Carol Miller.

Nurse Miller is available at the practice on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, if you require help and advice - please contact the practice and the receptionist will assist you.

1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month between 1.30 - 3.30pm at the John Godber Centre, Ogle Street, Hucknall, Nottingham.

Information Event for carers - Drop in Session at Oakenhall Medical Practice every last Monday of the month between 1 - 2pm.

Oakenhall Medical Practice is delighted to announce that Yvonne Gregory will be attending the Practice to provide a drop in session for Carers.

Yvonne Gregory is a Support Worker from the Carer's Federation, who will be available for an hour to help with any questions or advice you may need as a Carer. Any patient who would like to see Yvonne, please advise the receptionist when you arrive in the reception waiting room.

Yvonne is hoping to provide more sessions throughout the year.
